Dear President Snyder,
We write to ask you to cancel Loyola Marymount University’s “Planned Parenthood Fundraiser” scheduled for November 5th at 7:00 p.m. in Roski Dining in University Hall. Founded by the eugenist and virulent anti-Black racist Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in the United States and has been caught red-handed in the illegal sale of fetal tissues and has been complicit in sex trafficking.
As Jesuit Pope Francis said last month, “Is it right to eliminate, to take a human life to solve a problem? Is it right to hire a hitman to solve a problem? That’s what abortion is.” We hope you see through rationalizations that ‘Planned Parenthood does more than just abortions.’ The mafia also produces olive oil.
Alternatively, we suggest that LMU Women in Politics, the group sponsoring the fundraiser, might select a more worthy recipient of funds, one that more effectively supports women’s dignity and whose primary purposes are not at odds with the Catholic Church. Selecting Planned Parenthood as a recipient for fundraising on a Catholic campus is decidedly divisive. A fundraiser in support of an organization that affirms rather than undermines the dignity of women would be an opportunity to build bridges, bringing together people from all sides of the table in support of women’s advancement.
This LMU event is not an academic debate but a fundraiser. As such, LMU is making an in-kind donation to the nation’s largest abortion provider. President Snyder, please take action now to prevent an egregious violation of LMU’s Jesuit, Catholic identity.

The Entertainment Industry has abandoned the weakest! Academia has abandoned the weakest. There is no one left to stand for those who cannot defend themselves!

Let’s help the pro-life group Vita flourish on campus. Maybe alums can get involved somehow. I am game for helping to get Abby Johnson or Patricia Sandoval on campus instead of the enemy !!!! Even chastity speakers Jason and Chrystalina Evert…the root cause of abortion is impurity. Let us harvest souls for Christ…not scandalized them further!!!

Why do you do this? Cannot Planned Parenthood do their business without your money? You have to give your 30 pieces of silver to them? Jesus died for us. He suffered horrendously. His suffering continues. We know it. We have been told it.
I beg you to cancel the fundraising. If youbrefuse, please won’t you at the very least, move it to another location if you have no respect for the presence of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ on the campus and in the tabernacle.
I am not trying to attack you. I am asking you to please, please, do not desecrate what is Catholic and where Jesus’ Holy Presence resides in the Holy Eucharist.
God Commanded, not suggested, that we cannot kill human life. Why do you go ahead and do that? It makes you equally responsible to Him. Do you not fear God?
There are so many ways to help those in need that your efforts and money can support. Please, for the sake of the sorrowful suffering and death of Jesus, divert your money to doing God’s Holy Will for us.

It is scandalous that any purportedly Catholic organization would sponsor a fundraiser for an organization that destroys human life!
This is not to be allowed ! We are either with God or without Him, therefore, we must as a Catholic school stand up for what it believes and not allow throw!
A Univerisity that proclaims Gods teachings needs to surrender to God not the word.
Not only does this event need to be cancelled immediately, but the people responsible for even considering and approving this event need to be REMOVED IMMEDIATELY. THEY ARE CLEARLY REPRESENTING THE ENEMY!

Catholics are (supposed to be) pro-life. Any Catholic organization holding a fundraiser for a pro-abortion organization is like police officers holding a fundraiser to get guns for criminals. Makes NO sense. God save us.

It is beyond shocking that a CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY would allow the poison of Planned Parenthood anywhere near their students. What are Catholic parents paying for? They are obviously not getting their money’s worth. The Jesuits have many saints in Heaven — but not lately. They have sold their souls for Marxism. From top to bottom Very sad.
I am a graduate of Catholic elementary, high school, college and graduate schools. One of my grad schools was Loyola U of Baltimore. I am saddened and appalled that any Catholic school would permit a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood. Please do not allow this fundraiser to take place. How do we honor God with this fundraiser? How does your University protect and support life by allowing this fundraiser? Many human eyes are on your University to see what is decided and what values are upheld by your University. Shouldn’t we be demanding that LMU withdraw recognition from the group sponsoring this event? LMU Women in Politics didn’t just accidentally stumble into hosting a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood. Its social media shows that it stands in direct opposition to Church teaching on multiples issues. It should not be a recognized student group at a Catholic university.
LMU seems to have lost its way. A Catholic University has no business allowing itself to be used by Planned Parenthood. Equivocation from administrators about whether events like this are actually sponsored by the school helps nobody. You’d think a self-proclaimed bastion of philosophy, theology, and learning would know better. President Snyder, you’ve spit on my Alpha Sigma Nu membership and my service in Crimson Circle, whether you meant to or not. How sad.
