So glad you have come together for this mission, to restore Genuine Catholicism to LMU. This past August I sent a letter to David Burcham regarding “8”, the play endorsing gay activism and proposition 8 here in California. I asked him to block the presentation of the play as well as the fundraising that was scheduled immediately after it’s showing as this was a blatant affront to our Catholic beliefs and the Magisterium. He declined to cancel the production, claiming it was important to educate our students on all aspects of the social spectrum, though the fundraising was supposedly cancelled. Our son is a senior at the school with one semester left. Had he been a freshman or sophomore we would have immediately removed him from the school. Keep up the good work. We need to restore the faith in our schools, otherwise there is no point in paying the high cost of private tuition if there is no difference in the moral leadership when compared to any other public institution.

Over the last few years I have become embarrassed to acknowledge that I attended Loyola. I support any efforts to restore the university to its adherence to Catholic teaching.
